We have an excellent opportunity for a Java Architect to join a challenging project within a leading company in the banking/financial industry. Java Architect’s Key Skills Together with the PM, being in charge of small/medium-sized engineering teams (up to 20 engineers). Responsible for all the technology in small to medium-scale projects. Agreeing on and ensuring compliance with SOW requirements. Responsible for CI and CM plans. Defining "Done Criteria". Responsible for the general quality of codes, ensuring both that the code is reusable and verifiable, and that it is reviewed. Responsible for approving metrics to assess ongoing activities in projects, their analysis and use to improve both efficiency and quality. Supervising dependencies and critical paths for internal and external projects. Ensuring contingency plans are in place. Recommending solutions and approving plans and schedules. Understanding the global impact for all stakeholders. Responsible for the deliverable of each iteration/project Identifying what is missing in plans. Approving plans in engineering projects. Providing solutions and instructions for difficult problems. Answering the question: "What if?" in technical aspects of projects. Validating staff's skills. Responsible for setting the team's objectives together with the PM and defining the metrics related to them. Influencing on the team to meet objectives; negotiating processes, metrics and objectives with customers' teams. Responsible for technical training, the general performance of technical teams’ members and actively sharing knowledge by means of consultation among peers and training (internal courses) on specific technologies. Identifying professional opportunities. Enhancing staff's skills. Responsible for reporting project status to the Tech Director and completing technical performance assessments for his/her team.
