Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for commercial analysis and financial reporting through the manipulation and presentation of data from various sources. This is a key role in supporting the growth of the business. Client Details Rapidly growing, market leading online heating oil aggregator based in St. Ives Cambridgeshire with very recent investment from a leading mid market private equity investor. Description As the Business Analyst you will work with stakeholders throughout the business, you will provide meaningful information and reports that will allow informed business decisions to be made. Key duties will include: Co-ordinate MI work on behalf of the business and develop analysis and insight to support the business understanding of financial performance and create actionable data output. Own in depth analytics on pricing and customer purchasing activity Drive business performance understanding and improvement through detailed financial/commercial analysis and insight into existing business activities, with scenario evaluation and planning Financial evaluation of key business decisions, new business opportunities, with clear business case, ROI, supportable assumptions and measurable results, with post implementation reviews. Prepare the monthly accounts and financial elements of the Board pack Support the budget and re-forecasting process, identifying gaps and opportunities to inform business decisions Profile To be successful you will be: Looking for an opportunity to use your analysis expertise in a fast moving commercial setting Used to working with large data sets, you will have outstanding Excel knowledge to translate data into meaningful information You will also have worked with a variety of BI tools and have previous experience of supporting stakeholders at board level, responding to ad-hoc requests often to tight deadlines Excellent commercial & financial analytical skills with the ability to work closely with the rest of the finance team and the wider business Experience of making Board presentations Job Offer £45,000 to £55,000 dependant on experience This job was originally posted as
