An experienced Accounts Manager is required with overall responsibility for all accounting functions for the Company and associated companies. Managing a full-time Accounts Assistant and Accounts/Payroll Assistant, an organised and experienced person is needed for this busy hands-on role, reporting directly to the FD. Client Details A well established, well funded, small to medium manufacturing business which is fast growing into major expansion. Based in offices in the W. Byfleet area with free parking and easy access via public transport Description The Finance Manager role involves: Overall responsibility for the accounting records. ? Deal with multi currency sales ledger, purchase ledger and cash accounts. ? Reconciling all bank accounts. ? Administering internet banking facility. ? Dealing with internal and external telephone and email queries. ? Monitoring stock levels and values. ? Posting payroll to nominal and reconciliation of control accounts. ? Accounting for manufacturing subdivision: posting of sales and purchase invoices, posting and allocation cash receipts and paying suppliers. ? Preparation and filing of VAT returns ? Administering deferred VAT/import duty account. ? Liaising with purchasing department on purchase orders, payments to suppliers, opening and maintenance of supplier credit facilities. ? Liaising with sales department on administering customer orders, receipts of payments, pro-forma invoices, credit limits. ? Control the running and maintenance of the Purchase Ledgers ensuring that payments are made in accordance with Company policy. ? Control the running and maintenance of the Sales Ledgers ensuring that credit control procedures are implemented in order to open new credit accounts and to collect outstanding debts in accordance with Company policy. ? Attending monthly production meetings. ? Filing of monthly EC Sales list and Intrastat returns. ? Maintenance of the Nominal Ledgers, posting of journals and ensuring all accounts are reconciled. ? Preparation of monthly management accounts. ? Preparation of year end figures. ? Providing information required for the audit and supporting the audit work. ? Liaise and provide information in connection with audits by Accountants, Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise. ? Producing Research and Development tax claims. ? Produce other reports/information as required by the Directors. Responsibilities: ? Ensure that all accounting and payroll records are maintained ? Ensure that all payments and receipts are made on time. ? Ensure that all internal and external financial reporting is made on time. ? Ensure that Company policy and controls are adhered to. Profile The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager role will; Have worked in a similar role previously ideally have Sage 200 experience (or another Sage package) ideally have worked for a Manufacturing business previously live locally to W.
