Eaton has an opening for a: Sales Director EMEA Hydraulics location: the role can be based anywhere in Europe The Sales Director Hydraulics EMEA is responsible for all sales in EMEA, developing the sales strategy and improving growth rates with existing customers as well as for attracting new accounts. He/she will provide a sales forecast and develop the strategies to achieve the sales goals. He/she will further improve the sales efficiency by extending the sales related information base, implement channel strategies, improve customer relations, strengthen the mindset of his/her staff with respect to result orientation and continuously develop his/her staff. Essential Functions: · Provides functional Sales leadership to the EMEA/ European Hydraulics Operation personnel. · Develops the overall sales strategy in support of the business strategies of Hydraulics EMEA. · Establishes, maintains and validates a business plan that sets out the target market sales plans in support of the business strategies of European Hydraulics Operation. · Directs all sales and application engineering activities for assigned sales personnel to achieve performance goals in accordance with sales plans. · Allocates targets and resources in support of the sales plan. · Manages consolidates sales funnel and manages accuracy of sales forecasts by reviewing and coaching. · Monitors sales performance versus plan and takes corrective actions as needed. · Reviews and reports regularly to the Hydraulics EMEA Management Team on sales activity and performance to plans. · Builds close relationships with key personnel within key customers to enhance sales volume and customer service. · Calls on key accounts with sales professionals to increase sales volume and penetration. · Assesses competitive market data and makes new product recommendations on a regular basis. · Manages, develops and motivates staff to provide professional sales capability across the business. · Formulates a sales strategy that grows business revenue and profitability and improves market image. · Provides input for setting up an effective pricing strategy. · Ensures the provision of market, competitive and best practice information to European Hydraulics Operation personnel · Establishes and uses effective channels and resources to communicate business strategy, product offerings, and product training internally and in the market place · Measure results through the CRR (Customer Relationship Review) process, annual sales growth of the growth funnel. Requirements: · A minimum of ten years' experience in a sales leadership/management role at a Fortune 500 company with international responsibility (or equivalent at a divisional or higher level with some global responsibility). · Educated to Degree level, MBA highly desirable. · Experience in the industrial component industry, ideally established relationship with key hydraulic customers and demonstrated technical experience within the Hydraulics market. · Industry experience, Operations experience highly desirable · Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set. · Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, relationships and leverage diversity. · Demonstrated strategic ability, business acumen and change leadership capability. · Senior leadership consulting, influencing and coaching skills. · Solid understanding and experience of the complexities of Channel selling. · Multiple language skills highly desirable: English is mandatory, other languages would be a plus. · Experience managing within a matrix environment.
