This highly successful, and continually growing, global retailer is on the lookout for a procurement professional to take on their new junior category manager role within the Logistics spend area. The successful procurement specialist will be focused on injecting value into the relevant logistics categories, with the overall aim of transforming the success of the function. This exciting Procurement role will entail the following: Developing new procurement strategies, working with key stakeholders and adding value in line with business objectives Sourcing and procuring a range of goods and services within the Logistics area, whilst creating and delivering new and innovative negotiation strategies Continuously creating, building and maintaining strong relationships, with suppliers and stakeholders Thorough research into the logistics category and identification of new areas to generate business and drive performance The following procurement skills are required: A clear understanding of category management and its key principles Membership of CIPS (or equivalent) Degree educated, or equivalent work experience within the procurement sector The opportunity for rapid development within this global retail business is second to none as the procurement function continues to grow, in line with international expansion.
