Strategic expansion has created an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious Brand Manager to develop our client’s portfolio of world class wine brands. The Position: Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the appointed Brand Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction and day to day running of a portfolio of wine brands, as well as overall category responsibility to deliver sustainable and profitable increments. This role is a real and practical opportunity to utilise marketing flair, discipline and sound commercial judgement to provide solutions which are clearly understood and actionable by the sales teams. You will foster strong relationships with the brand owners to drive the strategic direction of the brands and ultimately assume responsibility for performance. With a strong commercial focus, you will be responsible for forecasting sales, creating a budget and working closely with the sales team to achieve that budget. You will also be required to organise tastings, events, competitions and promotions, organising travel arrangements for visiting suppliers and winery visits plus working closely with the press to further enhance the profile of the brands. The Candidate: You will be a professional brand marketing professional with a demonstrable track record of successfully helping raise the profile of a brand to deliver increased sales. Specific experience within the wine market (on and off trade), coupled with relevant industry/marketing qualifications, would be highly desirable but applicants will also be considered from other associated sectors of the drinks industry. Commercially astute, analytical and numerate, with a confident outgoing personality to be able to both engage and present with confidence, applicants will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. Fluency in a second language would also be desirable.
