An exiting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager Applicants mustc have manufacturing experience and a hands on approach to work and team management. Role To lead, manage, drive and promote Quality & Business Improvement standards and practices throughout the business and our wider supply chain consistent with company strategy. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Ensures compliance and assists in development of QMS system. Develop and/or improve systems that establish standards for all key processes and activities. Lead the planning and implementation of Process Improvement Projects that underpin business strategies. Motivates self and team to ensure QA along with Technical / Senior Management lead, set, define and refine standards for others to follow. Quality Control methods are built into product manufacture thus providing operator ownership and assurance to customers, right first time to their requirements. Plan and manage departmental activities with timeframes and outcomes. Evaluate & Report Audit findings and Implement appropriate corrective actions Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventative actions. Identify training needs and assist in organizing training interventions to meet quality standards. Implements a certified operator program. Monitor performance and continually strive to reduce the cost of quality within the business and increase the customer satisfaction rates. Communicates and deals with complaints, non-conformance issues and general quality matters at source taking all necessary action to resolve successfully. Responsible for team goals and objectives. Evaluate current business processes and systems in order to plan and implement improvements to maximize operational efficiency. Ensures effective Supply Chain performance and controls are in place. Review performance data and reports together with monthly or periodic (if projects) updates. Education & Experience Proficient in relevant software applications Knowledge and experience of business, quality and management principles and practices together with concepts are known and have been practised. Proficient in Auditing and Quality Assurance techniques such as SPC, FMEA are well understood. Proven track record in a management or senior quality role with no less than 10 years’ experience, preferably in a dynamic manufacturing environment underpinned within a QMS system. Advantageous to have some higher education qualification or >10 years’ experience in project management, customer satisfaction, corrective actions programs and/or proven experience in change or quality management. People skills, has the ability to tease solutions and ownership from employees and own team, MBWA is practiced in order to keep finger on pulse, communicates in a manner that commands respect and builds trust and a pro-active workforce culture. Additional Items Quarterly Performance updates for remit of responsibility and key improvement projects will be required by QA Manager to Directors of SEL.
