The role in a nutshell As Interactive Designer here at UNiDAYS you will sit within, as well as help grow, a new interactive channel of our internal creative agency, responsible for delivering highly creative digital advertising and marketing campaigns across all channels to market. You will have superb design, organisational and communication skills with the knowledge and ability to work alongside developers combining the art of design with the art of programing, a true hybrid in the world of creative, digital advertising and front end solutions. We see the addition of this role as another game changer within our global creative team structure and you will have the opportunity to put your own slant on it with the freedom to introduce fresh and exciting ideas as well as the potential of developing our potential in digital advertising, video, 2D animation amongst others. Day to day responsibilities Produce strong commercial designs throughout desktop, mobile, digital marketing and social channels. Create exciting digital content with direction and support from the Content and social teams. Generating ideas and selling them into clients and other members of the team. Encouraging others to share and explore their ideas. Passionate about maintaining high creative standards and ensuring only the best work is released to the clients. Excellent creative thinking to conceptualise initiatives, mind map creative projects. Converting your creative ideas into HTML and web optimised assets. Deliver best-in-class HTML5/CSS3/Javascript front-end code across a broad array of interactive web and mobile projects. Develop new user facing features. Advise on the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs. Collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders. Develop and test across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets. What we need from you Excellent conceptualisation & visual communication ability with the ability to scamp and sketch out digital solutions in a fast paced and pressured environment. Experience in print, email & online advertising design. Experience in 2D animation, interactive and moving image experiences. Experience in designing for multiple devices. Strong working knowledge of responsive design and design optimisation. Excellent understanding of HTML JS, JQuery and CSS. Excellent understanding of client side scripting and Javascript frameworks, including JQuery. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX. Excellent knowledge of image authoring tools such as Photoshop or Gimp. Good understanding of SEO principles. Ability to think strategically within the creative arena.
