Electrical / Electronics Engineer (Trainee) required by electrical engineering and IT company based in Farnborough, Hampshire. Excellent career opportunity for the right candidate. We design and manufacture time recorder systems and biometric time clocks. We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Engineer to join our busy workshop in Farnborough. We are interested to hear from a range of candidates; you may be a recent school / college leaver or alternatively already have some experience. As a Trainee Workshop Engineer you’ll learn how to set up, service, fault find and fix a range of electronic time attendance terminals and time clocks, assisting the workshop manager and supporting field engineers. You will also need to provide a good service to customers, work as part of a team and provide support and assistance to our team of field based engineers. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in electronics or technology, be a problem solver and have good social and communication skills. Math’s and English Grade C or above is desirable. Full clean driving license is also desirable. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in electronic engineering as you will be learning not only how to work on traditional electro-mechanical machines but also the latest biometric systems. Potential progression within the business to Field Service Engineer. Once trained, your responsibilities will include: 1. Set up and test of new equipment 2. Build and assemble of biometric terminals 3. Fault finding and repair work 4. Replacing or repairing broken or faulty components or parts 5. Organise stock of spare parts and consumables for engineers 6. Help to keep workshop and stores area organised and tidy 7. Assist with goods in and dispatch 8.
