To ensure the company is able to work to agreed schedules and that inventory supplies throughout the supply chain are available to meet customer delivery requirements on time As a successful Planner, your main duties will include: Working closely with the Procurement, Sales and Production Teams to receive, review, revise, accept or reject, as appropriate, customer schedules. Procuring the supply of raw materials to support production programmes (using MRP) to existing contractual terms. Planning and prioritising the issue of work to the shop floor, despatches to subcontractors and customers and liaising with Despatch and GI. Working closely with the Production Teams to ensure production targets are met. Acting as a representative for the company when visiting or attending meetings with customers and dealing with all matters arising and provide visit reports to cover same. Identifying problem suppliers and associated issues which should then be escalated to Purchasing Qualifications, Skills and Experience As a successful Planner you will: Be educated to a minimum of A level standard (HND / Degree, or NVQ level 3 Management Certificate preferable) Be committed to continuing Professional Development Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment either shop floor or office based Have working knowledge of technical data Have knowledge of the creation of project plans, budget monitoring, manufacturing systems and procedures, and commercial and supply chain awareness Interested?
