Due to our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Lifting Equipment Examiner to join our team in Cowley, Oxford Job Purpose: As an examiner of various types of lifting equipment, you will be depot based as part of a nationwide team with examinations scheduled within the depot, to carry out the detailed inspection of Lifting Equipment, identifying defects, grading of faults and producing documentation as required under LOLER / PUWER regulations. Job Responsibilities : Employed as a mobile lifting equipment examiner you will examine various types of MEWP equipment to ascertain its serviceability status. Reporting direct to Inspection Services management team ensuring equipment is examined to current PUWER and LOLER regulations. Responsibilities include grading of defects found to allow follow up repairs to take place where necessary. Testing of equipment at height. Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required : Essential Formally educated to HND, ONC, HNC, City and Guilds apprenticeship or NVQ standard in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent qualifications. Additionally, 3 – 5 years in an engineering field, 1 of which must be employed directly in the lifting equipment field. Comfortable with working at heights. Desirable: CAP certification Clean driving licence Must be willing to travel and stay out when required. IPAF 3A 3B 1B licence with experience of Genie / Haulotte product.
