Perhaps you are a materials or labour planner within a production environment, and you are looking to expand your skill set into the logistics industry? XPO Logistics is currently looking for a Warehouse Planner to join our exciting, new, fully automated 3PL site in Bradford. What will you be doing? You`ll be reporting to the Planning and MI Team Manager to support the customer`s order fulfilment through contributing to the planning function. You will work across departments and will provide your internal customers with relevant, accurate and timely information. You will act as a coach to other members of your team, helping with the training and development and taking the lead where necessary to solve problems. You will on occasion deputise for the team manager. You will be preparing the operations each morning to build their outbound plan. You will also monitor in bound bookings and assess labour capacity versus the requirements. Due to the nature of the role you may be starting shift at 5am on a regular occasion and as such you should have a flexible attitude to your working hours. What are we looking for? The role would suit someone with a good understanding of warehouse, transport or factory environments. You`ll need excellent analytical and communication skills, along with experience in delivering accurate and timely reports. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you are at least intermediate level when using Access and Excel. You should also be a clear communicator who is confident and able to influence decisions using data. You should have a keen eye for details and will need to be a self-starter and motivator. You should be a confident communicator as you will be contributing to conference calls and meetings around future plans and forecasting. What can we offer you?
