Scantec have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Systems Manager to join a large multi-sited international testing company at one of their sites in the Merseyside area. The purpose of the role will be to maintain, update and ensure compliance to the quality system ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 Accreditation. Responsibilities include: Be the leader for ongoing development of the quality system (QMS) and its implementation. Have an up to date working knowledge with the requirements of quality certification as described in ISO 9000 standards, ISO 17025 and specific industry standards Undertaking system and method audits according to the Company’s quality procedures Manage and assisting with the resolution of issues relating to the Quality system Champion the system for statistical quality control of the laboratory processes. Instruct staff on the use of quality procedures Administer the system for periodic calibration of specified equipment in laboratories Managing issues related to or involving national accrediting bodies such as UKAS. Co-ordinating responses and actions from third party audits Monitoring the laboratories performance in proficiency test studies Ideal candidates will be experienced in Quality Systems Management and will have been a manager or leader within Quality Assurance/ QMS for a UKAS accredited company. You will have a thorough understanding of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), knowledge of the validation process and have a thorough understanding of Quality Systems and UKAS requirements To be successful in this role you need to driven to deliver timely and accurate service to the customer And have the ability to produce policies and procedures in accordance with relevant ISO, UKAS and Company standards Key words: QA, Quality, QMS, Audits, UKAS, Testing, Laboratory, ISO17025, Quality Manager, QA manager.
