Part Time 30 hours The closing date for this post is 12 noon on Friday 28 th October 2016. A strategic alliance has been formed between Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police in order to enable both forces to meet the challenge of reducing policing budgets. By working more closely together the forces will benefit from greater operational and organisational resilience, making us the fourth largest geographic police area in England and Wales . The main purpose of role is to ensure HR systems are maintained in accordance with customer service standards. To ensure Warwickshire and West Mercia Police have accessible HR information it needs to provide an effective and efficient Police Service Main Responsibilities: To produce Management Information reports using HR IT systems at the request of service users, including Freedom of Information requests. To provide HR IT system administration support including developing bespoke information recording to support HR process and reporting. To provide level one technical support for HR Systems To assist with maintaining the security environment of the HR IT systems, including licenses and user access. To support the HR Systems Officer with all reporting and statistical information to the Home Office, HMIC, Audit Commission and other stakeholders. To participate in project teams to provide advice and undertake relevant tasks to support HR IT system improvements or enhancements including system testing. To provide to all users of the HR IT systems technical advice and support. To maintain HR Systems portal reporting in line with business requirements. To identify and correct faults/errors to limit the impact on service provision. To escalate to HR Systems Officer where appropriate. To quality assure data so that it is accurate and is maintained in line with organisational requirements. To support and administer the IAMs system, ensuring availability of resources and fixing/escalating issues to the HR Systems Officer. To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, including cover for HR Systems Officer, as required. This will include deployment as necessary to meet the needs of the Force. Experience/Skills: Educated to A level/ level 3 in an IT related subject Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) In depth knowledge of Internet Explorer and ORACLE (or equivalent HR database) Experience of working in a HR environment Experience of creating management reports from statistical information Proven ability to enter information accurately using appropriate IT systems Proven ability to retrieve and analyse statistical information and present clearly and concisely Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to deliver customer service within a team environment Proven ability to manage high process driven workloads in accordance with strict deadlines We want our organisation to be as diverse as the community it serves.
