JG58– Mobile Technician Controller Location: Gloucester Salary: £Competitive DoE Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mobile Technician Controller for a major UK vehicle hire specialist. The role of the Mobile Technician Controller is to effectively support, manage and organise the National team of Mobile Technicians. This role would suit ex-military candidates and applications from former service personnel are encouraged. Duties and Responsibilities: • To gain maximum utilisation and efficiencies from all Mobile Technicians, nationwide • When utilising Mobile Technicians, ensuring that all compliance and breakdown/defect incidents are attended to in a timely manner, managing the communication between the Customer Support Controllers, the customer and the Technicians attending • Monitoring daily work plans, loading of the PDA’s and reacting throughout the working day to any changes of plan, communicating by telephone, email and PDA machine • Should be able to challenge, advise and assist our Mobile Technicians, in all situations working on all vehicle types • To enable cost effective repair solutions. To monitor and maintain efficiencies and general cost control, being accountable for spend within the agreed spend limits authorised • Decision making, to make the most effective and viable decision for both the customer and the company • Fully using and updating the Kerridge Incident Management system • Develop skill sets within the technical departments and offer advice to help develop maintenance staff, to understand the skill sets of each Mobile Technician identifying any training shortfalls and reacting accordingly to changing needs; • Agree objectives and work standards with all direct reports and periodically review their performance. • Develop your own skills and highlight areas for further advancement to the Group Maintenance Support Manager • Awareness of customer satisfaction and call response times within the companies and customer SLA/contract guidelines • To adhere to all the companies processes and procedures • Any other duties and reasonable request made by managers Skills and Qualifications: • Previous experience in a similar technical supporting role, ideally a minimum of 5 years with relevant industry qualifications, time served or demonstrable experience within the industry • Business standard IT skills, incl Microsoft Outlook. Office and Excel. Experience of the Kerridge system would also be an advantage • Excellent communication – A good standard of both written and spoken English • An assertive, effective decision maker and problem solver with a tenacious, enthusiastic and flexible disposition • Good self-starter with the ability to multi-task • Able to manage people, both one-to-one and as part of a team whilst working well under pressure • Should be a well organised individual with excellent time management and prioritisation skills • A good level of vehicle knowledge Location: Gloucester Salary: £Competitive DoE This job was originally posted as
