Interim Head of Human Resources and Learning & Development Leeds Competitive Benefits Head of HR & L&D role: You will be responsible for the Human Resources and Learning & Development function, to include development of these strategies. Based in Leeds, we will be offering a highly competitive salary and excellent benefits you will be required to do some travel between our Fairpoint sites from time to time. Your main duties as the Head of Human Resources and Learning & Development will be: Developing a HR & L&D strategy in conjunction with the Managing Director of Legal Services which is aligned to the key strategic objectives and supports the delivery of the cultural changes required within the business Translating the strategy into an action plan and take accountability for the delivery of the plan within the organisation Acting as a HR & L&D consultant for the business, working with the Directorates to identify the key learning needs for the business and learning options to meet these needs Supporting the design and delivery of the internal brand and drive the employee engagement agenda Ensuring the team can advise / support managers with disciplinary and grievance issues including; issue of associated letters, conducting investigations & note taking in hearings where appropriate Supporting the management of organisational changes resulting in complex employee relations activities, including TUPE transfers, restructures and redundancy exercises Introducing & regularly reviewing HR policies and procedures in line with legislation changes, ensuring full compliance with relevant policies & procedures Reviewing the learning offer that is delivered by the Organisation Development Team to ensure that it is fully aligned with the business strategy and meets the key development needs for the organisation Ensuring colleagues remain fully trained in all compliance matters and address concerns quickly Supporting the design of the learning requirements within the business which include technical, regulatory & behavioural training Driving the performance management framework and existing training programmes Leading the employee engagement programme, considering all relevant vehicles Consistently deliver high quality levels of customer and client service As our Head of HR & L&D you will need the following experience: A legal services background working closely with senior management Knowledge of generalist HR across all functions A background of regulatory training, developing, implementing and maintaining performance review tools, talent management and succession planning processes The ability to develop the internal brand and manage culture change You must also have the following: CIPD Qualification A recent role of senior HR & L&D role in a multi-site organisation Knowledge of managing teams across multiple sites The ability to design and deliver comprehensive and bespoke training programmes Excellent communication, influencing, conflict handling and relationship building skills A diplomatic, pragmatic and credible attitude The ability to work collaboratively and with confidence at all levels Strong problem solving, planning and organisational skills Outstanding attention to detail and levels of accuracy A self-starter attitude with a flexible approach to your workload A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for this role due to the travel requirements About Fairpoint Group Established in 1997, Fairpoint Group is one of the UK's leading providers of consumer professional services including debt solutions and legal services.
