Our client is greatly experienced in manufacturing and developing Fast Moving Consumer Goods on behalf of brand owners. Operating across a number of highly regulated sectors they have a great reputation with in house specialist and accredited facilities available for meeting their customers’ needs. They currently have a vacancy for a Quality Manager based at their site in the North West of England. The main purpose of role is to manage all site Quality activities in total compliance of regulatory and customer specified requirements. Reporting to the Technical Director, the Quality Manager will implement practises, systems and procedures which ensure that Quality Control activities are undertaken and completed promoting and developing a proactive quality culture within their team and throughout the wider business. Key responsibilities include: Provide leadership, guidance and direction in relation to all Quality Control activities being undertaken on the site Manage the effective day-to-day running of the Quality Control Laboratories and associated Goods In activities prioritising work to meet business requirements Ensure all starting materials, bulk and packaged product are tested and released in compliance with specifications Ensure all non-compliance identified are dealt with swiftly using appropriate OOS, deviation and CAPA procedures, and communicate with supplier as appropriate Release of starting materials and manufactured bulk product to production including documentation review Participate in regulatory inspections, customer audits and internal audits at the site in relation to Quality Control activities Ensure all standards are controlled in accordance with the appropriate SOP or customer/regulatory requirements Ensure all laboratory personnel, equipment and instrumentation is fit for purpose Ensure environmental monitoring programme is implemented in compliance with GMP expectations The successful candidate will have: A degree level education in a food/science based discipline Experience of working within a GLP and GMP environment Work experience or thorough understanding of analytical, microbiological and statistical quality control techniques.
