Working with the London Heathrow Airport General Managers, Operations Managers and HR Team and leading a professional team of Resource Planners and Allocators, you will actively optimise the deployment of staff across an H24/365 site of 1,300 staff and have specific responsibility to manage different types of absence and processes throughout the workforce. You will lead small specialist teams and use tools and metrics to identify ways to meet daily output using the optimal number of staff required, this balancing service risk versus cost. This will require coordination and reduction of agency workers and overtime expenditure; ensuring our customer service is delivered in line with contractual requirements and budget without putting risk into the business. Specifically you will: Proactively manage an end-to-end long and short-term sickness absence and attendance process in accordance with the company's absence management policies and procedures Formulate and maintain databases to record and forecast strategic and tactical absence/attendance levels allowing your team to deliver optimal resourcing levels during periods of both known and unplanned absence Assist the operational management team in a various employee relations processes, e.g. AWOL, leave planning and training planning Manage and lead the allocation and planning teams in the day to day running of their departments to ensure an optimal level of performance as per the contractual and business requirements Continue to review the labour turnover metrics to identify trends, risks and identify new opportunities Make appropriate business cases and recommendations to the operational management team in order to ensure a smooth pipeline of labour is delivered from recruitment and vetting through to operational output Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained, with the necessary skills to reduce the agency and overtime spends whilst ensuring operational output and minimising risk. You will already be a successful professional able to demonstrate dynamic leadership and management in operational environment for a wide range of personnel. You will: Have Microsoft Office skills to include Word and Excel (to an intermediate/ advanced level). Have a proven record of managing, motivating, developing and retaining a dispersed workforce both directly and through others Be highly literate and numerate Have the ability to robustly challenge poor practice and maintain high standards Be commercially savvy and business focussed Be self-motivated and a team player Have experience in rostering systems and processes - desirable Have knowledge of other soft services and experience in delivery - desirable The OCS Group is one of the UK's leading providers of facilities management and property support services, employing over 25,000 people in the UK.
