The role of Processing Manager is required to assist with the technical management, supervision and control of the processing facility based in Liverpool. Additionally SHEQ standards must be maintained to the highest level. The role will include the management of several direct reports. The main and most senior direct reports will be the various shift supervisors. They will also work closely with the rest of the team to ensure department KPIs are achieved. Client Details My client, is a specialist chemical and recycling business based in the Liverpool area. One of multiple sites across the UK, my client provides 100% resources recovery for the food industry through a complex cycle of integrated supply, collection and conversion solutions, delivered to the highest standards. Due to a retirement, my client are looking to have the successful Processing Manager in place so an efficient handover can be carried out before the end of the year. Description This is an important role within the Manufacturing and Production department, to ensure that the business reaches its targets and to enhance the business moving forward. The Processing Manager will mainly focus on the following responsibilities: Ensuring the health and safety of all employees at the site Maintaining and improving staff engagement levels and motivation Keeping costs down in order to maximise return on investment for our shareholders Overseeing a production process operating 7 days a week. Leading the production team with energy drive and vision. Ensuring that appropriate manning levels are maintained Ensure all products are manufactured to the correct quality standards - right first time Continuously optimise and develop the current process to improve throughput and yield Driving efficiency's to reduce costs and overheads in the production functions Management of the planning and organisation of production schedules Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment and assets Profile The ideal candidates will need to have the following skills, and also be experienced in: Able to work safely at all times Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team Coaching and mentoring employees Be technical and have good problem solving skills Be able to manage projects and improve processes High attention to detail Lean focused Very H&S aware Job Offer £28,000 to £30,000 with benefits Successful candidates will be contacted within 24-48 hours This job was originally posted as
