About The Role: We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of global plastic products in accordance with the new product development plan and sustaining engineering and improvement of existing global products. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Engineering (or equivalent) and have proven experience in product development or product engineering. Proven ability to conduct technical assessments and to drive creative application solutions, integrating quality and analysis tools such as DOE, QFD, FMEA and Design for Assembly. Essential Skills/Experience: • Proven experience in product development or product engineering capacity • Manage new product development projects in partnership with key suppliers. •Work closely with the field commercial and marketing teams to determine the needs and opportunities to deliver products to the marketplace that advance CHEP’s competitive position • Leverage and integrate existing technology and technologies developed at CHEP’s Global Innovation Centers to enhance CHEP’s products, while diversifying and differentiating the product portfolio • Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability as a cross-functional team player and program leader • Good knowledge and use of facilitation skills; familiarity with Quality Improvement Process tools such as Six Sigma • Proven ability to conduct technical assessments and to drive creative application solutions, integrating quality and analysis tools such as DOE, QFD, FMEA and Design For Assembly • Knowledge of program management tools is required • Knowledge of plastic materials is required • Knowledge of predictive engineering techniques, CAE tools, statistical analysis, and data interpretation is required Essential Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or equivalent degree What we can offer you: At CHEP we feel it's vital that our people are well rewarded.
