My dynamic and highly regarded client has an exciting opportunity for someone experienced within an advisory capacity, within the recycling sector. This Cardiff based role will provide a competent, integrated support service to businesses and organisations across a wide range of sectors. You will support delivery of programmes for the recycling and reprocessing sector, facilitate business growth in the sector and accelerate the use of recycled content in manufacturing. You will assess businesses’ requirements and identify and secure appropriate support from Cymru programmes. Example responsibilities include: · Arrange and attend meetings and site visits throughout Wales, or elsewhere as required, (in some cases in conjunction with other specialists) to appraise businesses and identify the appropriate support from the range of services offered Provide business support by: · Working with the client to identify opportunities for business growth, resource efficiency including helping the client to access consultancy support and market intelligence to inform the prioritisation of these opportunities. · Advising and agreeing on subsequent action and desired outcomes. · Identifying appropriate support options, and assisting the client to access them, including acting as the client’s ‘champion/advocate’ as necessary. · Build and develop relationships with key external stakeholders to ensure that the services which the organisation provide are complementary to those offered by other providers locally and that the benefits to business are maximised. · Participate in, and contribute to, external and organised conferences, seminars, reports and other publications as appropriate. · Ensure all projects are carried out in accordance with procedures including environmental and H&S policies Skills / experiences required · Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline · Demonstrable knowledge and experience of delivering business support activities · Demonstrable knowledge and experience of delivering Resource Efficiency in a wide variety of organisations · Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders to deliver outcome based targets · Strong analytical ability, specifically in the context of diagnosing problems and priorities. · Demonstrable good communication skills · Proven commercial acumen, ability to understand organisational constraints/drivers and adapt strategies accordingly. · High degree of self-motivation, and the ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision. · Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. · Evidence of operating in a fast paced, collaborative environment · Evidence of delivering successful projects of different sizes and complexity To apply, please forward your CV asap highlighting relevant skills and experience and availability to start a new position.
