The Role The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for accepting and storing all inbound products and packaging, ensuring that stock is readily available for Production. The successful candidate will also be responsible receiving the Finished Goods ready for despatch through 3 rd Party Logistics and Warehouse providers. Main Job Responsibilities: · Manage all Stores and Despatch personnel, ensuring that they are appropriately resourced 24/7. · Indirect management of 3 rd Party Warehouses. · Reduce logistics costs wherever possible. · Reduce lead-time for the route-to market where possible. · Improve operational efficiency of the Stores Department. · Work with the Planning and Purchasing team to reduce working capital raw materials and finished goods. · Co-ordinate 3 rd Party Logistics and Warehouses to control inventory and optimise Customer Service. · Develop the ERP systems to assist with the above. The Candidate The client is looking for a manager with the ability to develop new ideas and through an influential and persuasive style ensure that they are effectively implemented. The successful candidate will also be considered as a stand-in for the Operations Director. Required Skills and Experience: Supply Chain Management experience within FMCG is essential · Strong negotiation skills. · Strong commercial and numerical skills. · Strong analytical skills. · Strong supplier performance management experience. · Significant customer / stakeholder management experience. · Extensive Supply Chain / Distribution experience and expertise. · Excellent communicator.
