Role; Senior LC/MS Analyst Location; Hertfordshire Salary; Competitive Benefits Scantec currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced LC analyst to join a leading testing company within the Hertfordshire area. The Role; Perform analysis of sample using HPLC, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS Carry out of Method Development and Method validation of LC-MS and LC-MS/MS Perform sample preparation techniques; liquid: liquid extraction and solid phase extraction Perform LC-MS and LC-MS/MS instrument calibrations, maintenance and troubleshooting Work with a variety matrices and compounds required for testing by clients Manage a team of scientist ensuring projects are delivered to highest quality/strict deadlines mentoring and training junior members of staff as required Supporting other staff members/departments as required The Candidate; Degree in Chemistry or closely related subject or equivalent experience is essential Significant experience with HPLC and LC-MS is essential – significant LC/MS/MS would be highly desirable Method development and method validation experience is essential Significant demonstrable experience working within an accredited analytical testing laboratory is essential Experience in a testing laboratory analysing for environmental contaminants in difficult matrices would be highly desirable Scantec is the 3rd Largest Technical Agency in UK - "Recruitment International Magazine 2015" and specialises in the Manufacturing, IT, Technical, Engineering and Scientific Sectors.
