If so, please get in touch with Polytec today Our client based in Cambridge is looking for a Consultant Hardware Engineer to join their busy team. The location is easily accessible by public transport despite being in a quiet village location. Responsibilities will include: Design and testing of electronic circuits for use in medical devices. This includes analysis and capture of circuit schematics and implementation of electronics hardware Researching components and preparing bills of materials Liaising with suppliers to specify and adapt components to meet custom requirements Managing the manufacture and assembly of medical devices with the use of external contractors Testing of circuit boards and debugging Working with the software team to develop test methods Working as part of the project team to ensure Quality Management System requirements are met Essential skills: Analogue and digital design experience Experience of low-power circuit design, microcontroller interface design, low noise signal capture, design of battery powered devices Use of simulation tools Use of CAD tools for schematic capture Experience in the use of software and firmware development tools and environments required to support hardware testing and debugging Familiarity with ISO 13485 and IEC60601 Understanding and experience of working to strict quality management systems Desirable skills: Experience of using Altium General interest in firmware, ability to write test software and device drivers using Python/C/C++ Experience of Verilog for FPGA development Experience of Wireless Connectivity Project Management Experience This job was originally posted as
