Elevation Sales are currently looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to take responsibility for Service Sales across a territory of the Midlands. The business looking to recruit are a global leader in their industry and operate across a variety of markets including Healthcare, Transport, Leisure and Education. They specialise in Access Control and Loading Bay Systems and require someone with relevant experience in this industry. The purpose of the role is to maximise sales among existing and dormant customers for their service and maintenance contracts. You will cover East and West Midlands, East Anglia and Wales and be given a number of accounts to handle and increase spend with. Due to the territory location, applicants living out of this area will not be considered. This role requires the incumbent to travel extensively through the Midlands and will therefore be a field-based position. You may be asked to attend sales meetings on a monthly basis at the Head Office based in South Yorkshire. You will be tasked with ensuring a contract retention rate of >80% and professionally representing the Company and promoting and enhancing its reputation. You will build trusting relationships with key customers (Tier 1) and understand their businesses while ensuring that all allocated Tier 1 customers have a business review meeting at least once per year, with the larger customers having two review meetings per year. Other responsibilities with include the preparation of prompt and accurate reports as required, mainly comprising Forecast updates, pipeline, Tier 1 visit reports and activity reporting To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements; Degree educated in a relevant field - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be beneficial however not essential 2 to 3 years experience working within in the Industrial Doors, Loading Bay Systems or Access Control industry is essential. Previous experience in a Service Engineer role would be highly advantageous Experience of working within a customer facing service environment Strong customer account management focus, personal experience of National Accounts Can clearly demonstrate the ability to implement short, medium and long-term growth plans Excellent communication skills including listening, presentation skills and combatting objections A team player who can operate confidently at all levels in customer organisations, up to Director level Computer skills (Microsoft) - knowledge of CRM systems an advantage If you want to discuss this position in more detail, please call Samantha Culling at Elevation Recruitment Group on 01709 723 248.
