BPL has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to join the Sterile Operations team within this leading Pharmaceutical Company, which is currently growing due to significant investment. This role is working on a shift of 24/7 This opportunity will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop themselves within a manufacturing environment. Reporting into the Sterile Operations Team Leader, the main purpose of this position is: To carry out through development, the technical aspects of machine set-up and operation in compliance with cGMP, product licences, H&S standards, clean room operational requirements and KPI's. The post operates within strict environmentally controlled areas and therefore requires high levels of good hygiene practice and strict adherence to cGMP. You will develop a full operational understanding of the Technician roll requirements. You will actively support an environment of continuous improvement ensuring that all quality and productivity targets are achieved through the optimum use of resources in a safe environment. You will use effective communication skills with all team members to ensure completion of the Production Manufacturing and filling plans. You will be able to analyse issues and effectively problem solve, in support of the Process Leader. Key Duties and Responsibilities will include: To develop a full understanding of specific environment, process flows and equipment operation. To develop a full understanding of the mechanical nature of specific equipment and be able to trouble shoot problems with support of the experienced Technicians and Process Leader. To have a basic understanding of utilities, specifically HVAC operations and pressure cascade (differential) flow and control as well as WFI and Steam generation and control. To prepare (wash, assemble and sterilise) and use (attach, setup and fix) equipment and components for the aseptic filling of products. Processing Records will be completed within compliance with approved procedures and in accordance with agreed production programmes. To help maintain local and business KPI standards and requirements. Help co-ordinate the activities of the section, liaise with other sections as necessary, help organise the daily work operations as required. Develop a sound understanding and ensure high standards of cGMP and H&S are maintained. To develop skills which will enable reviews of SOP's, BPR's and related documentation as required by the Process Leader. To aid the Process Leader with specific investigations. To inform the Process Leader of concerns related to the maintenance of working and environmental standards and help ensure the working environment is maintained to the required specification. Ensure that equipment used is in compliance with any maintenance, calibration and validation requirements. Help ensure adequate and regular maintenance is carried out on all equipment and fabric within the section. To ensure that processes are maintained in compliance and control through cross shift handovers that are performed through clear verbal communication in the area where activities are happening. To develop an understanding of the principles of gas and liquid filtration and be able to troubleshoot problems with filter testing and use. Carry out sterile transfers of final product to the Aseptic filling suite in time to meet the scheduled filling plan. To operate and trouble shoot Clean in Place systems for department specific static equipment. To obtain and maintain qualification for routine product filling activities To develop an understanding sufficient to enable effective operation and troubleshooting of equipment including Clean in place, steam sterilisation, dry heat sterilisation, automated component cleaning, Freeze drying and terminal heat treatment as required by the Process Leader. The successful candidate will: Have gained experience within a manufacturing environment either within pharmaceutical or FMCG production environment A developed an understanding of GMP. It is important too that you will have a firm understanding of H&S within the workplace. Be able to demonstrate a high level of technical competence along with good communication skills and problem solving skills and be prepared to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
