Location: Southampton Contract type: Permanent Salary: £30,000 excellent benefits package Our client is looking for an HR Manager with responsibilities for the office facilities, and who has an approachable and diplomatic approach; able to deal with sensitive situations confidentially. You will need to be available to start this position at the beginning of August for a handover. This is an all-encompassing and standalone role, which will require you to work autonomously including completion of your own administration. Duties for the HR Manager include: Maintain and update the HR System Provide advice to line managers and staff on HR best practice and help managers to effectively manage their team’s behaviour Assist the business with HR projects such as auto-enrolment and any management team projects Provide advice and support to employees and Line Managers when necessary Prepare and sign off the monthly payroll paperwork Be responsible for the entire recruitment process including liaison with recruitment agencies, preparing job adverts, interviewing, reference and identity checks, preparation of offer letters/contracts as appropriate and induction training Provide general HR administration Maintain and renew maintenance contracts regarding all building facilities Regular review of staff policies and contracts to ensure they comply with current legislation. Carry out H&S risk assessments and escalate any problems as required. To be responsible for the procurement of all office services The successful HR Manager will have: HR experience gained to at least advisory level Willingness to operate at all levels/tasks from administrative duties through to input at strategic management meetings An understanding of health & safety and procurement processes Previous experience in managing facilities/ dealing with service maintenance contracts Flexible working attitude with good initiative Approachable with strong communication and interpersonal skills Benefits will include: 29 days’ holiday Free parking 10% pension contribution after 6 months’ service.
