Procurement Sustainability Manager Warwick Salary: 55,000 - 65,000 The role is to work with both internal and external stakeholders to lead the development, implementation and delivery of the Global Procurement Sustainability and Supplier Diversity strategies and policies. You will be required to develop and integrate procurement processes, systems and reporting metrics to support and monitor initiatives in line with the wider corporate objectives, regulatory requirements and corporate governance. You will represent the business at a senior level with external stakeholders to balance risks and opportunities within the supply chain and drive innovation whilst delivering tangible business benefits. Knowledge, Experience and Technical Know How Knowledge: Knowledge of corporate sustainability drivers at the strategic level and how these align with overarching corporate objectives Knowledge of the general drivers of supply chain diversity in the UK and it's operation in a regulated environment Understand the global context of business impacts on climate, resources, water and waste'. Broad knowledge of environmental sustainability in Scopes 1 and 2 as well as impact on reporting Detailed knowledge and understanding of supply chain (Scope 3) impacts and opportunity to minimise risks, ensure compliance and identify opportunity Knowledge of the Ethical sourcing programmes and controls (i.e. Global Compact, International Labour Organisation) Broad knowledge of legislative drivers and ability to understand broader supply chain Scope 3 environmental and social impacts Knowledge of EU Procurement Directives, Utilities Contract Regulations, and the wider regulatory environment Experience and Technical Know How Understand supply chain risks and experience implementing diversity mitigating initiatives Ability to build effective partnerships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies Strong planning and strategic management skills Delivery focused with the ability to demonstrate insight and management of results by the measurement and reporting of KPIs and metrics Ability to lead cross functional/ multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects and/or initiatives that deliver tangible business benefits Experience of leading/ chairing working and steering groups at mid-senior stakeholder level plus Experience of strategy development, implementation and delivery Ability to think laterally and provide innovative solutions Experience with process excellence i.e. Lean, Six Sigma a plus Inter-personal skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate articulately and exert influence at a senior level Resilient with the confidence and gravitas to challenge and influence behaviours and issues Skill to handle high pressure situations and make sound business decisions Effective people management skills and the ability to develop high performing teams Experience in coaching and mentoring others - demonstrate understanding and application of teaching and coaching for performance Exemplary presenter and ability to design clear communications to the Executive level Qualifications Required Educated to degree level Previous experience in the relevant disciplines Professional body membership with recognised appropriate institute/s Project Management Training preferable This job was originally posted as
