Job Title – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) Location – Coventry Shifts - 3 shift rotation Monday - Friday. Overtime available Weekends Salary - £31,000 - £35,000 The Company An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client are a large national business based in the Coventry. With a British heritage stretching back 150 years and the industry’s most active new and forward thinking company. In the UK, our client is a £120 million turnover business with 1100 employees operating from 22 locations. This enables them to provide nationwide coverage stretching from Aberdeen in the north to the Isle of Wight in the South. They currently produce 2000 Units a day from the Coventry site however they are aiming to increase this to 3000. The Role The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for : Reduce equipment breakdown duration (and reduce the frequency of breakdowns (mean time between failures). Fault finding experience through to input and outputs with a PLC or Faulting finding on laptop via a PLC. Replacing PLC cards, all PLC’s programmed when they come in. Faulting finding Electrically with a multi meter and reading electrical drawings Replacing. They will aslo be responsible for the sites preventative maintenance and responding to ad hoc requests for repairs whilst on shift. In most breakdown cases, engineers would not be expected to strip down and rebuild parts. Instead like for like replacements or straight swaps are favoured, however some light fabrication work may be required from time to time. The Candidate: Completion of an electrical maintenance/engineering apprenticeship. Experience within an industrialised manufacturing environment. Sound knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems. Sound knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations. Good level of literacy and IT skills is essential for the role. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a multi skilled maintenance engineer Experience within an automated environment would be desirable but not essential.
