Main Roles and Responsibilities · Manage the Licence Management Tool, including Proof of Entitlement and configuration of licence metrics. · Responsible for actioning all Software Asset Management tickets · Point of contact for ad-hoc asset management queries/questions. · Maintains an up to date software asset register. · Maintains familiarity with, and uses international standards for software asset management. Main Skills and Experiences Required · Has a good level of knowledge and understanding of IT concepts and architectures and of the principles and processes of implementing and delivering IT services. · Understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions. · The ability of an individual to convey a level of confidence and professionalism, positively influencing and persuading others to take a specific course of action when there is no direct line of command or control. · Acquiring a proper understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts, selecting the appropriate method/tool to resolve the problem and reflecting on the result, such that learning is identified and absorbed. · Understanding the needs of the internal or external customer and keeping them in mind when taking actions or making decisions. · Being proactive, leading, taking action and anticipating opportunities. · Applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensuring that nothing is overlooked. · Proven experience within a Software Asset Management role essential. · A good understanding of IT principles, systems and infrastructure preferable. · Good knowledge of tier one vendors. · Good level of knowledge and understanding of licence terms, EULA’s, contracts, and how these impact compliance. · A working knowledge of SCCM, SNOW and Service Now preferable · Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and data manipulation software. · Possesses high level of business acumen and is able to recommend sound strategies based on interpretation of complex data from a variety of sources. · Ability to build and maintain asset reporting accurately. · Familiar with methods, techniques and tools for planning, organising, resourcing, directing, co-coordinating and monitoring ongoing (non project) activities. · Strong analytical skills. · Ability to work under pressure. · Excellent team player.
