A vacancy has arisen within my client's expanding Quality department for a Quality Management Systems Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis. My client are a leading automotive parts manufacturer based on the outskirts of Portsmouth and this a new and exciting role, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. The postholder will be responsible for quality management system documentation (ISO/TS 16949, customer specific requirements and CEBOS) and preparing management reports. The main duties of this position will include: Authorising expenditure and other items in line with the approved Authority Matrix(s) produced and distributed by the Finance and Administration Area. QMS document preparation Carrying out process and product audits Supporting the activities of management systems auditors. Implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System. Monitoring customer specific requirements and reports Participating in continual improvements for quality system development. Ensuring procedural maintenance and compliance across the Company, specifically to QMS TS16949 Supporting the development and administration of the customer corrective and preventative action (CAPA), internal non-conformance and Quality Management Systems. Performing audit activities, to include pre-audit planning, audit execution and evaluation and post audit follow-up and recommendations. Supporting routine internal audit program. Acting as support during customers and external audits. Assisting with QMS preparation, control and management of documented information - procedures, work instructions Ensuring that the QMS continues to meet the requirements set out in ISO/TS16949 and customer specific requirements Supporting the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (CEBOS). Assisting with development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans to improve overall ISO compliance and quality results. Data collection, analysis and management reporting. Presenting to managers on improvement projects and activities. Compiling & writing QMS documents and training material on Quality improvement tools & methodologies. Ensuring applicability of current quality policies, procedures and objectives by keeping informed of the latest updates/ modifications related to ISO quality systems. To be considered for this role, you will have: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent in Quality management Proven practical experience in a recognised Quality role Working knowledge and experience within a Quality Engineering environment Experience in implementing and auditing ISO9001 / TS16949 Quality management systems Proven experience of working within a team Experience of the high volume automotive / similar industry Sound knowledge of operational issues within a manufacturing environment Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems APQP Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint Excellent presentation skills Able to work effectively in a pressurised environment Excellent interpersonal skills Certificated in ISO/TS16949 Internal Auditing Please apply today to be considered for upcoming interviews.
