Senior Buyer Staffordshire £38k Fantastic Benefits Permanent I am currently looking for Senior Buyer to be responsible for strategic purchase planning and reducing procurement budget spend whilst maintaining specification standards. With the responsibility of facilities management including overall responsibility for supplier/sub-contractor selection and management, you will also be accountable for: - Strategic purchase planning in line with business plan and procurement strategy Maintain/reduce budgetary expenditure People management in the absence of the Quality & Operations Manager. Conduct supplier audits in conjunction with the QHSE department Maintaining the supplier league table and managing poor performance within the supply chain through improvement actions and deadlines. Full facilities management including overall responsibility for supplier/sub-contractor selection and management. Coordinate, review and negotiate Insurance compliance. Full Vendor management including negotiating trading frameworks and SLA's Work with other department heads on product development initiatives including reducing the bill of materials and new product development costings and raw material sourcing. Analyse risk in supply chain and ensure alternative supplier matrix To build and maintain relationships with suppliers, and oversee the completion of all admin involved in the order process. Negotiate trading terms and agreements with vendors. Identify and propose where potential savings can be made to generate revenue or reduce expenditure. You will ideally be Degree Qualified in a relevant subject, ideally in Business Studies or Supply Chain, with a strong partnership approach to supplier management, ideally with experience of producing mutual gain long term relationships. Essentially you will also be certified as a CPM, CPIM or CSCP and be able to demonstrate a solid working knowledge of production control / supply chain management With a proven track record within a Buying Department and implementing procurement strategies and evidencing results, you will be commercial aware and understand how the procurement strategy impacts on the business and bottom line. You will have experience of working within a manufacturing procurement environment is advantageous. You will have strong negotiation and strategic sourcing skills, with experience presenting and reporting cost savings, cost efficiencies and continuous improvements at Senior Management level It is key you have expert understanding of accounting processes including forecasting and budgeting, as well as spend analytics and e-sourcing tools, with knowledge of regulatory requirements as it relates to suppliers and supplied products Ideally you will also be CIPS/CIMS qualified with strong familiarity with Purchasing/Inventory Control systems If you are interested and would like to apply, then please send through a copy of your most up-to-date CV, together with a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and reference 41787761/SBIRNKC21 , to This job was originally posted as
