Employment Type: Permanent, Full time Location: National Formulation Centre, Sedgefield The Person CPI’s National Formulation Centre are seeking to recruit a Team Leader to supervise and manage team and day-to-day operations and develop and implement an operational plan and objectives for the Materials Science team, in line with the formulations strategy and industry needs. Candidates should be educated to at least masters or PhD level in Chemistry/Physics or a related subject and have significant, demonstrated, technical mastery in the development of Materials Science. Applicants must have a compelling track record of complex technical problem solving and be able to effectively use Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will be committed to, and actively seek opportunities to develop themselves within this new and exciting role. The Role As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Materials Science team and will work on the design and technical delivery of projects. Duties of the role include: · Maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), quality and best practice requirements · Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop staff in the team to provide appropriate depth of both expertise and leading edge equipment · Set up, plan and ensure the execution of (scientific) experiments, analyse, interpret and report results to agreed timescales and translate obtained findings and knowledge · Contribute to a culture of continuous capability development within teams in alignment with company strategy and project deliverables.
