Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are working in partnership with Sirus Automotive on two Design Engineer roles within their expanding R&D department. Based in Wednesbury West Midlands, the business is entering a rapid expansion period and are progressing plans for an exciting forward thinking NPI programme that will deliver cutting edge products to their customers. With this in mind, Sirus are now looking for Senior Design/Design Engineer's to join their expanding R&D department which will focus on designing and creating new products that will support the business as they move forward during this exciting period of growth and offer full end value to their customers. Detailed Job Description Sirus Automotive pride themselves on the service they provide their customers. With this in mind the roles will offer full autonomy in fundamentally designing and conceptualising new products that will allow the business to significantly bolster their market share in a lucrative market. Using Solidworks software the successful candidates will provide forward thinking in-depth support to the NPI function by taking new projects from concept through to manufacturing. Project manage a variety of projects from cradle to grave, simultaneously ensuring products are innovative and projects are delivered on time. Support the company during its period of growth by validating existing designs and processes whilst providing new innovative products for the future, using Solidworks to design all creations in both 2D/3D CAD. Drive and develop a closely knit team forward that will work on all new projects to support engineering changes to existing models. Challenge and expand the NPI programme that will enhance and improve designs that will focus on enhancing the customer's experience. Liaise and develop relationships across departments to ensure products can be manufactured efficiently and safely. Candidate's Profile Degree qualified preferably Mechanical Engineering or Design. Strong background in designing Products from concept. Comfortable collaborating with other business functions to drive and influence project delivery. Proven success in leading innovation through a design function. Excellent knowledge in CAD preferably Solidworks or Catia. Strong communicator who can engage people at all levels and have the ability to challenge new ideas with a high level of creativity.
