Job Title: Area Sales Manager ( Wheelchairs/ Scooters ) Region: South East England Salary: £35k (basic) £20 – 30k OTE Benefits package Sector: Mobility ( Wheelchairs/ Scooters ) Responsible to: National Sales Manager An exciting opportunity has become available for a Sales / Business Development Manager to join a market leading organisation who specialise in the design and manufacture of manual wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters, wheelchair seating and mobility aids. Aim of Role: Achievement of agreed sales targets and associated objectives by interfacing with and providing support to Customers. You will generate sales to new and existing customers, demonstrate products and deal with any issues which arise from sales. Responsibilities: Drive sales into defined territory - arranging customer visits, helping develop application of our wheelchair/ motorised scooter products into their accounts via training / demonstrating products and supporting in client assessments Focus on providing clients with a solution to their needs. This will be broader than just describing the mobility product; it entails an understanding of the company’s ethos and brand. You may be involved with direct sales to the NHS; the development of a well-established dealer network and the recruitment of new dealers. Respond effectively and timely to customer queries relating to products along with the Technical Services Dept – champion important customer queries to close Maintain & update sales, utilising sales techniques to improve sales efficiency e.g. 90 Day Plans / Demo Stock / Training Matrix Support Elite dealer marketing plan along with Marketing Manager Maintain, update & adhere to ASM Policies & Procedures handbook Proactively self-develop achieving defined level of product / clinical / commercial competence, attending training courses as required. Report important customer / product / competitor activity to Sales Director & Product Specialist Continually look to optimise dealer representation of our products, approving the opening of dealer accounts (Consumer & Prescriptive) Maintain, update & adhere to ASM Policies & Procedures handbook Proactively self-develop achieving defined level of product / clinical / commercial competence, attending training courses as required. Report important customer / product / competitor activity to Sales Director & Product Specialist Continually look to optimise dealer representation of our products, approving the opening of dealer accounts (Consumer & Prescriptive) Ensure targets/objectives, KPI set by line manager are achieved Provide competency based product training to customers. Deliver product training to small groups general nature / demos Organisation / Management of Product Awareness Days (In-service) Attend Exhibitions driving lead generation for our products Essential Skills: Education and Qualifications: Good standard A Level or equivalent education Job Specific Training: Knowledge and experience selling wheelchairs/ scooters / adapted seating solutions Sales techniques and experience essential Excellent verbal and written communication B2B sales experience Affinity for product / technical understanding / hands-on Physically strong – able to load / unload mobility equipment from vehicles Experience: Sales experience, minimum 1 year Clean CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check Sales experience, minimum 1 year Equipment Skills: Good PC literacy –particularly Word and Excel, car driver essential, clean license Desired Skills: - Degree - Product knowledge of the SRM portfolio This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/66829224
