An International Technical Sales Manager is required for a global company with an office based in East Yorkshire. They are a market leading engineering organisation specialising in oil extraction, processing and related refinery techniques. Supplying a range of specialist plant and refinery processing equipment they are looking for a seasoned Sales Engineer or Project Engineer who wants to move into a pre project/contract position responsible for securing multi million pound projects up to £50m. As the International Technical Sales Manager you will report to the Sales Director and you’ll be responsible for the following; Producing technical and commercial proposals and costings. Co-coordinating with numerous suppliers on a single project to ensure a cost effective solution can be offered. Developing client relationships both pre and post contract award to ensure successful implementation. Visiting clients to discuss requirements and specifications, often overseas and will involve presentations. Demonstrate commercial awareness when assessing contractual obligations. Undertake substantial overseas travel in order to progress enquiries, develop relationships and secure contracts. Development of contractual documentation for legal, commercial and technical aspects. To be considered for this International Technical Sales Manager opportunity you must have a technical engineering (mechanical, chemical or process) background and currently working in similar capacity. Alternatively you may be a project engineer wanting to move into a more commercial role involved with the pre project work. You will have experience of costing/tenders, preparing proposals for high value projects and responding to customer’s requests. In addition to this you must be prepared to do a small amount of international travel, at short notice (up to 40 days a year). This is a fantastic opportunity with a global leading business.
