Summary of role: The Infrastructure Support Executive is responsible for providing Service Works clients with a consistently high level of quality and timely technical support for queries and issues relating to the company’s products. Required Experience/Skills: Essential • 5 years hands-on experience supporting .NET & SQL based applications, Microsoft technologies and processes • Knowledge of Desktop, Web-Based and Mobile technologies • A good understanding of communication protocols, network devices, hubs/switches/ router diagnostics and configuration • Knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies • Incident Management experience on a Service/Help Desk • Excellent written & oral communication skills • Strong client facing skills • Customer service focused Desirable • Experience in designing, managing and executing IT infrastructure projects • A knowledge of facilities management and emerging technologies • Sound commercial judgement and understanding of cost justification against business benefit Required IT Skills Essential • Windows Server 2003, 2008 & 2012 • SQL server 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 • SQL scripting / Crystal Reports • Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10 • Active Directory 2003 and 2008 • Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2010 • IIS 6,7.5 Knowledge in the following areas would be beneficial: • Microsoft CRM 2013 • Microsoft Outlook 2013 • Atlassian JIRA • Microsoft SharePoint 2013 • Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Responsibilities: • Provide expert 1st & 2nd Line Technical Support to our Clients (External and Internal) • Conduct complete Incident Management of support cases in line with defined escalation procedures & Service Level Agreements (SLAs). • Installing QFM products remotely and/or providing support to clients who choose to install these products themselves • Manage the installation, maintenance, support and availability of the Company’s IT infrastructure, including but not limited to servers, networks, communication, telephone system and other related hardware, software and comms products • Monitor, report, and troubleshoot on hardware, software, and network performance and utilisation • Internal bug reporting/change request escalations, liaising with Development and Sales teams to ensure satisfactory responses are given to the client. • Ensure that infrastructure performance and availability are maintained at acceptable levels by carrying out performance tuning, tried and tested service/system modifications to maintain and enhance the infrastructure, also ensure network is safe and secure • Create regular and full system backups; retaining one set onsite and one set off site, until the remote system back up facility is put in place • Understanding of the client systems and requirements • Update internal SWG systems with accurate and pertinent information in a timely fashion • Initiate & Participate in System & Process Improvements initiatives as required • Identify sales opportunities in terms of client requirements • Deliver an excellent client experience for users of the support desk • Document and maintain the documentation / diagrams for the infrastructure processes and systems in a central repository • Create and retain an asset register of all company equipment and implement an equipment lifecycle replacement policy Additional Requirements • A mature manner and committed approach to collective success • Reliable, flexible and a ‘can do’ attitude • Ability to work on a shift basis • Attention to detail and focus on quality outputs • Accurate record and time keeping to ensure efficient implementation timescales ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE FREE TO WORK IN THE UK FREE FROM THE RESTRICTIONS OF VISA'S AND WORK PERMITS.
