The Place: Our client is a highly renowned and popular Bar, Restaurant with room’s establishment on the stunning and breath-taking Island of Mull. As part of the company’s 2016/2017 investment plans they are now looking to appoint either a General Manager or Management Couple with current realtime experience in Bar & Restaurant General Management coupled with accommodation experienced, that are now looking for a new or exciting challenge based on one of Scotland’s best known islands. The Job: As General Manager or as a Management couple you will be fully responsible for the day to day running of this iconic based local establishment, the business requires a “full hands on” approach and the owners are ideally looking for the right manager or management team to run this property as if it was their own. As General Manager / Management couple you will be expected as part of the job to comply to all licencing laws, health and safety, HCCAP and food allergies within the establishment. The job requires that commercial and prudent approach in areas of staffing and wage GP’s during the hard shoulder months and also forward planning to maximise high season traffic and having the right staffing levels on board to meet customer needs and requirements. This is not only a job it is part of a highly thriving and engaging community and as a local employer you would be expected to be able to incorporate yourself into local news, reviews and introgate yourself into Island challenges living within a rural location and the challenges facing the local business community. The Person: Ideally we are looking for an established Bar and Restaurant with rooms experienced General Manager or Management couple looking to establish themselves within a rural/island life community This appointment is not only about knowledge, experience and skill it is also about a way of life that is community focussed.
