Web Developer Salary : Flexible Depending on Experience Location : North West, UK Duration : Permanent Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Web Developer position for a large University in the North West of the UK. The Role The main purpose of the role is to support the ongoing development and maintenance of the University's websites and other digital marketing and communications channels. This role sits within the Web Team, which is based in the Marketing, Communications and Development department. We are an award-winning department, providing expertise in marketing and communications across the University, as well as managing the University's profile and presence externally. Our remit encompasses Press and Public Relations, Web and New Media, Corporate and Faculty Marketing, Events, Public Engagement, Alumni and Development, and Design and Photography. We play a crucial role in ensuring communication materials and activities are fully integrated to maximum effect, reinforcing internally and externally the University's brand, reputation and strengths. We are seeking an experienced web UI designer/developer with excellent design and frontend technical skills who is looking for a challenging and exciting role helping to transform the online presence of one of the UK's biggest and brightest modern universities. We are currently engaged in transitioning the University's corporate website to be device responsive and migrating content to a central CMS, and we are looking for a candidate with the right mix of skills to support the Web Team Designing and developing web pages, HTML emails (for campaign monitor templates), web and digital display advertisements Maintaining and updating existing web pages and websites based on internal client requirements Repurposing print design assets to work online (e.g. designing landing pages and banners advertisements that tie-in with print campaign advertising) Supporting and providing design and front-end code feedback for other members of the web team Reverse engineering and modifying existing HTML/CSS/JS code Designing and developing web pages and templates for content management systems - understand which parts of the page will be changed regularly by CMS users and design/develop accordingly Prototyping at varying levels of fidelity (paper, wireframe, photoshop, code) to get client feedback as part of responsive design process.
