As an Instrumentation Engineer with Geotechnical Observations you will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor the behaviour of ground and structures. You will ensure that our systems and processes operate effectively and efficiently, so that we can continue to ensure the safety of the infrastructure it there to protect. This is a multidisciplinary role in which you will develop a thorough understanding of the operational processes of our organisation, gained by working closely with our engineers and technicians in the field, in our workshop and in our office. The job will involve: - testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems; - designing and developing new systems; - analysing data and presenting findings in reports and on the internet; - working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff; - purchasing equipment; - writing computer software.
