Baltic Training Services are delighted to be recruiting for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our client as an Apprentice Field Service Technician. Our client, an award winning company who specialise in hard copy and electronic document management. They provide the hardware, software, service and expertise that enables organisations to cut costs, improve efficiencies and become greener. They invest in retaining and run their own Apprenticeship Academy which trains their service engineers. They encourage and support employees to keep learning and developing their skills - whether studying for a professional qualification or an MBA. Duties Include: Provide customers with a professional, efficient maintenance and repair service across a broad range of office/IT equipment (in particular photocopiers) in and around the Greater Manchester area. Technician will be using a mixture of mechanical, electrical and computer skills as part of their daily role. As part of the field service team, you are responsible for managing your work load ensuring a high level of productivity, speedy customer response times, first time fix rate and stock management. Technician will be responsible for his own work area ensuring that it is kept tidy and organised. Prospects: Excellent prospects to qualify as a Field Service Technician which would involve travelling to work at customer sites (vehicle provided). Skills Required: Enthusiasm Passion to learn about ICT Willingness to provide high levels of support to end user Diligence to work tasks given, as well as accuracy in adherence to defined procedure Ability to suggest creative solutions to possible problems. Studied IT at GCSE or A-Level (preferred) A clean driving licence would be beneficial. Smart appearance and good communication skills is essential as the job will involve visiting customer's premises.
