About us Landmark Information Group, part of the Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), is the UK's leading provider of land and property search information, including digital mapping, environmental risk reports for property professionals and sophisticated property management tools to surveyors, risk and fraud managers and the broader financial markets. It also has operations in Germany in the form of On-Geo, and interests in Holland. We develop both products and services/solutions for our customers, ranging from environmental consultants, surveyors and some of the UK's largest banks & lending institutions (to name just a selection) who all have a common interest - land and property information. The opportunity We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Exeter. This is a technical role, focusing on the running and development of a number of database systems within our businesses and on behalf of external customers. Working as part of a team, you will manage multiple concurrent tasks with varying technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and cloud based solutions. Whilst the main focus of this role will be Database Administration, you will also be involve with systems development and database/associated systems support. About you To be considered for this role ideally you will have previous experience in this field including administering either Oracle, PostgreSQL or MS SQL databases. If you have an Oracle accreditation, SQL Server MCSA or similar it would be beneficial. It is essential that you have experience of using common ETL (extract, transform, load) tools and SQL to import and export data in various formats and structures. If you have experience in managing business intelligence systems and providing helpdesk style technical support to customers it would be highly advantageous. You’ll need to be an effective communicator with a natural ability to solve problems. A commitment to quality and the ability to pay meticulous attention detail should go without saying, in addition to work well under pressure. We are looking for someone who is flexible to work as part of an on-call team (in due course).
