If the answer tothese questions is yes, then the job of an ICT System Development Officer couldbe the one for you… Durham Constabulary is looking to appoint a Systems Development & Support Officer to work in help with patching and maintaining its services and applications. It will include designing and setting up highly available solutions, operating at multiple sites using Microsoft SQL Server to create a resilient and robust architecture. This will be on premise initially and may extend to the cloud. You should have exceptional DBA skills in Microsoft SQL Server or another suitable database platform. It will involve managing relationships with Senior Officers, ensuring that all systems are patched and secure so that ICT continues to support Policing in Durham and the wider community. As well as being an integral part of Systems Development, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work on other force projects and proactive fault finding to ensure we continue to provide a first class ICT Service. They will work closely with Senior Officers and other ICT Professionals to maintain system availability and performance. More about The Role Location : Support Command – HQ - ICT Salary: Career Grade - Scale 5 – SO2 (Dependent upon experience) Lower - £21,999 - £24,030 (Scale 5) Middle- £24,813 - £27,519 (Scale 6) Higher - £31,938 - £34,440 (SO2) Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. As a member of a professional team you will be subject to call out and will be expected to work outside these hours occasionally. The flexible working hour’s scheme is applicable.
