Software Engineer - Cyber Security - Guildford & remote working - flexible salary (up to 60k) We are currently sourcing for a brand new R&D team for a rapidly expanding global online security organization. The company builds real-time backend systems dealing with high volume events and we are looking to put together a team of sharp software engineers who want to work on some very challenging block-chain security projects. At the moment the company is offering remote-working until the new offices are set up in Guildford then will allow the option for one / two days from home in the long run as well as a competitive salary for the right candidates. The company offers the chance to work with block-chain security technology designed for real-time detection and mitigation of cyber-attacks. The company cover a wide range of sectors with solutions including critical infrastructure protection, threat migration, Hadoop big data lakes, data breach management, cloud assurance and IoT; the successful candidates will be part of a new team which will eventually reach 30 software engineers developing a range of new applications and tools as well as making build decisions, influencing product development and participating in more complex integration projects. The successful applicants will ideally have experience or at least an interest in block-chain / security / cryptography and be interested in working within a technically challenging role; the team will be developing next generation projects so and will choose the right tech to solve problems so key skills for the right candidate would include but are not limited to - Linux/Unix software development experience Experience with any of the following; C++ / Java / C# / Python, Functional programming Familiarity with distributed systems building scalable and fault-tolerant services Experience in developing web services Good knowledge of basic network protocol Experience in rapid prototyping, agile development Ability to work with team and partners in multiple geographical locations You should have an appetite for tackling complex and interesting software challenges and want to build systems that handle data on a global scale.
