The Company Based in Bourne End, Lifecycle Marketing is the UK’s most trusted, relevant and influential communication platform for expectant mothers and new families with a brand portfolio including Emma’s Diary, Families and Mum & Baby Academy. We have a 24 year history of working with, mums, healthcare professionals and most of the UK’s leading baby brands. With a turnover of in excess £10 million and plans for significant growth, we now want to build on our market leading position. Due to great growth within the business an opportunity has arisen for an experienced project manager to join our expanding team. This is a permanent position but may also be considered on a contract basis. Main Purpose of Job: To support the business in delivering large projects and to take responsibility for project managing small & medium projects across the business on time, within budget and to the desired quality. This is a very dynamic and demanding environment and the Project Manager needs to be adaptable and live the ethos of delivery. The Project Manager will be a very important part of a small, high-performance business which needs to work seamlessly together in order to deliver the programme of work successfully. Specific Responsibilities: Day to day responsibilities of this role would consist of but are not be limited to: · The generation of both project plans and project update documents for overview of the Commercial Director and Board · Specific project manager roles to lead the projects relating to e-commerce, website development and other such projects as assigned. · Enhance the internal project management skills and take ownership in house project management toolit including training to managers on techniques. Main Responsibilities: · Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure successful delivery on time, within budget and to the desired quality. · Successfully deliver assigned projects from initial start up through to delivery and closure. · Work closely with the project team and various business and operational stakeholders. · Create project plans as appropriate and manage delivery of the project against the agreed plan. · Create a Business Case and Project Initiation Document (PID) for assigned projects as appropriate. · Communicate progress of projects on a regular basis and submit regular project status reports. · Identify and manage the risks associated with the project. · Identify and manage the dependencies associated with the project. · Identify and manage project issues and escalate these as required. · Ensure that sufficient testing / UAT / quality assurance is undertaken for assigned projects, as appropriate. · Work closely with the project team, and teams within the established organisation . · Provide training and share information across the project work streams and with existing and new members of the team. · Any other reasonable duty. Supervisory / Management Responsibilities · Organise project resource where required. Manage and support project resource with the project deliverables. Key skills (Interpersonal): Essential: · Excellent attention to detail. · Proactive and uses their own initiative. · Self Starter with a drive to succeed and learn, working to and maintaining high quality standards of work against strict deadlines. · An enquiring mind, with the ability to quickly learn new concepts. · Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to question and prioritise requirements. · Assertive – will defend their point of view if they believe it is correct. · Has high standards and expects a high level of performance from others. · Good planning and organisational skills. · Strong communication skills, confident in dealing with colleagues and users at all levels · Commercially aware and able to manage and prioritise multiple activities based on their business need, urgency and importance. · Ability to handle pressure due to aggressive timelines and shifting priorities. · Excellent skills in documenting of processes in diagram and written form. · A flexible approach to an ever changing environment and a can do attitude. · Professional and courteous approach at all times. · Energetic and enthusiastic. Key skills (Technical): Essential: · Microsoft Excel · Microsoft Word · Microsoft PowerPoint Desirable: · Microsoft Project and planning techniques · Ability to produce project reports and dashboards · Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) · Knowledge of the Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) Experience (type and level): At least 2 years previous project management experience who can demonstrate proven success of managing and delivering projects from conception through to closure. Previous experience in delivering technical projects would be advantageous. Qualifications (General qualifications & Professional) · Operations or IT (and Project Management) background · Recognised project management qualification e.g. Prince2, APMP etc. This job was originally posted as
