You will be required to create and update workshop manual description and operation procedures for a manufacturer of luxury brand vehicles Duties/responsibilities: Source information and communicate at a professional level with vehicle engineering and brand personnel Utilise CAD data and software tools Author text simplifying complex systems Design draft graphics/animations to support your work to issue to technical illustrators Work to tight deadlines Work under your own initiative with minimal supervision. Candidate: Ideally you will be a technical author with an automotive background or a senior workshop technician looking to move into an authoring environment. You will join and work within an established authoring team environment but will also be expected to work independently; a very keen eye for detail and quality is essential. Knowledge and experience: Appropriate level of education and/or experience Circa two years' consecutive experience from different projects, branches or customers Knowledge of relevant work method tools (X-Metal, Vis Mockup, Photoshop and Microsoft office) advantageous but not essential. Developed knowledge and experience in how to write and adapt for specific target groups Excellent English, both written and spoken Skills and abilities: High level of technical aptitude Research information needed to complete tasks Ability to further develop existing processes and work methods Work independently in teams on assignments and on one-man projects.
