This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the regional European funding Senior Management Team - taking ownership and responsibility for the operational delivery of the International Growth project for West Midlands SMEs. As European Projects Manager, reporting in to the Head of Business Development you will ensure that the project is delivered according to all relevant EU regulations, playing an active role in the Senior Management Team and contributing to the overall business planning process and operational strategy. You will provide the Senior Management Team with vital support with management information, ensuring contract compliance and customer quality and satisfaction across the project. Direct Responsibility: To Manage, develop and support a small operational team of Project Support staff including Communications, Events, Compliance, Finance and International Liaison. Manage operational planning, improved management reporting, information flow and business processes. Budget responsibility for the financial delivery of EU projects, including sign-off for project claims Monitor, analyse and report Management Information, deliver contract compliance of the International Growth project and ensure quality in line with EU Guidelines Responsibility for risk management, ensuring that all KPIs and Performance Targets are monitored and Senior Management Team are advised of any potential risks to the delivery of the project, to identify causes and agree and review corrective action Act as 'Data Champion' ensuring the accurate recording of client interactions and maintenance of records - ensuring absolute trace-ability Key Relationships: Regional European Regional Development Fund team (Department of Communities and Local Government), EU funders such as UKTI, Chambers of Commerce, Local Enterprise Partnerships, Universities and other project partners and stakeholders Qualifications / Skills: Degree level or equivalent professional qualification OR/ Minimum of 5 years EU Programme Management experience EU budget management and EU procurement experience A thorough understanding of EU funding is ESSENTIAL in addition to DCLG/ European Commission audits Demonstrable interpersonal, analytical and reporting skills Ability to work well under pressure Good understanding of key agencies, stakeholders and business support programmes available to businesses, including government/ public sector and EU funding This is a Fixed Term Contract until March 2019 High Meadow Recruitment works with the client on a Consultative basis PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CALL ALL INTERESTED CANDIDATES FOR A CHAT ABOUT THE ROLE.
