Our Client, a successful IT Systems company, is seeking a customer-focused 3 rd Line Support Infrastructure Engineer. The role involves deploying, supporting and ongoing configuration of the server and infrastructure environment. Working in a busy operational environment the ideal candidate must be able to work on their own initiative communicating effectively with colleagues both verbally and in writing. Furthermore, they must have a positive professional attitude and be able to work efficiently under pressure. Main Responsibilities: · Maintaining IT infrastructure both internally and externally for customers · Ensuring availability and performance of IT infrastructure according to SLA's · Assisting with IT infrastructure projects · 3 rd Line Support for customers running VMWare, Hyper-v and Windows server infrastructures. · Offering consultancy to customers including system design and specification. · Installation of hardware and software · Providing up to date infrastructure advice and support to the team Technical Skills / Experience: · Vmware infrastructure both onsite and datacentre · Hyper-V Systems · Dell Equallogic and HP MSA SANs · Fortinet Firewalls · Cisco Switches · Windows Server 2003-2012R2 · Active Directory & Group Policy · Exchange 2010/2013 · SQL Administration · Terminal Services including RemoteApps · Veeam Backup · Avaya phone system · Sophos Anti-virus · Client pcs Suitable candidates will have: · Positive and professional attitude · Good communication and organisational skills · Customer focused · Team player · Ability to work efficiently under pressure · Flexible · Strong analytical and problem solving skills This is a full time permanent role, working 1 Saturday per month and is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and well established company.
