We are currently recruiting for an experienced and capable Engagement Compliance Officer who will join the supported housing team of a large and well known charitable organisation with offices based across the West Midlands on a fixed term contract until the end of December 2016 working 37 ½ hours per week including weekend and evening work where required. The hourly rate for this position will be £9.70 paye including holiday pay or £11.03 umbrella/ltd. As an Engagement and Compliance Officer, you will be working as part of the Youth Promise Plus ESF funded programme designed to support young people across Birmingham and Solihull (aged 15 -29) that are unemployed into making correct lifestyle choices and creating positive outcomes. You will play the part of providing administrative support for the Youth Promise Plus Programme, engaging with young people and gathering, collating and reporting information in a timely and accurate manner. You will need to identify and register people who are eligible to receive support through the programme, provide advice and guidance and record young people's activity and progress accurately. You will be responsible for providing effective administrative support for the programme and calculating time spent supporting young people and producing requested performance reports. You will also need to identify and recommend additional resources and services appropriate to the client group where necessary and prepare a monthly report of all activity. In order to be successful in this position, you will need to have a good level of IT skills and an understanding of Microsoft Office in particular but you will also need a GCSE in English graded C or above. It is ideal for the client if you have an NVQ Level 3 in advice and guidance plus a business and administration certificate or an equivalent. You will need to have experience of working with young people in youth work, residential or social work, probation/criminal justice, education and training or housing and support work and it is preferable that you have prepared reports from data whilst possessing a knowledge of issues affecting unemployed people. You will most definitely need a DBS issued within the last 12 months and you will need a full UK driving license with access to your own vehicle.
