An expanding, industry leading FTSE 50 retail organisation has a brand new opportunity for a Senior Buyer - GNFR to join the company on a 12 month FTC to manage and mentor the existing Buyers The company is going through a large procurement transformation as they expand with a more international presence with the company growing by c 30%. This role will be reporting into the Senior Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement - Property to implement the strategies, policies and frameworks for the designated categories. Category examples: GNFR, Packaging, Cutlery, Cups, FM, Uniforms, Chairs, PPE and other retail related consumables and services Role and responsibilities: Reporting into the Head of Procurement to implement policies and strategies Line responsibility of 2 to 3 Buyers covering designated spend areas End-to-end procurement management, sourcing to on-going SRM Negotiate on new and existing contracts, to drive down costs to the company Implement SLA's into contracts to ensure service delivery is at optimum level Influence key stakeholders in the business to define new and effective procurement strategies Bring previous expertise of improving processes of any current policies Manage multi-million £ spends across assigned sub-categories Identify new potential suppliers and cost saving opportunities by using market knowledge Experience and requirements: Proven procurement experience within GNFR Achievements within an organisation either by improved service delivery or significant cost savings Worked within a large, multi-site FTSE organisation Able to work under heavy work load in a fast paced, busy environment No issues with negotiating and influencing all levels of internal customer / stakeholder Managed a led projects from start to finish, autonomously Experience in building relationships in varied environments Ideally CIPS and degree qualified - not essential INDPRO This job was originally posted as
